Gallery Exhibition: Co-Creations On The Farm With The Vegetal Landscape

  • Bushel Collective 106 Main Street Delhi, NY, 13753 United States (map)

We will be looking at a particular Vegetal landscape in the upstate New York farming community, where our attempt will be to explore the co-creative Plant-Farmer-led process that can benefit everyone in ways that have yet to be tapped in to on the farm. Since farming is the foundation for all of human existence, we beg to look beyond the usual human centered farming value system to one that is mutual, emerging, evolving and co-creative. Where the Vegetal themselves shares, interprets and maybe even orchestrates farming engagements. This project asks how might the Plant-Farmer relationship be inter-relational, cyclical and inter-regenerative.

As the artist, who is observer and co-scriber of this project, my experience with Plant intelligence unabashedly takes a leap into the co-creative relational process with a popular farmed Plant I respectfully call Lady Cannabis and it is here their impressions are key players in this human focused farming landscape. With queries that ask: Are they happy? Do they like the music that the farmer plays? What type of music do they like? Does this benefit them? How? Is there a benefit? Are there shared benefits? Do we even know what queries to ask? Answers to these unknowns may be demonstrated with below creative means with Lady Cannabis forging the way.
